The Type 90 Kyū-maru (Japanese: 90式戦車 Kyū-maru-shiki-sensha) is a Japanese main battle tank that appears in Wargame: Red Dragon.
Overview
At 170 points, the Type 90 plays the role of superheavy tank for both Japan and Blue Dragons. It is statistically very similar to the Leclerc, although it deals slightly greater AP damage and has better side armor. Like all Japanese tanks, its fuel economy is lacking, with only 350km on 1100L of fuel. However, the Type 90's strong stats make it a match for most tanks up to heavy and even superheavy tanks. Excellent accuracy and stabilizer allow it to hit its mark most of the time even while mobile, and its higher-than-average rate of fire allows it to put out more damage than most tanks of the same tier, which tend to fire at 7-9rpm.
Perhaps the key feature of this tank is its availability -- unlike most superheavy tanks, the Type 90 comes in two cards. With Japan's national bonus, the player can at maximum field a total of six trained Type 90s, but a maximum of four in Blue Dragons. This puts it in a similar position to Sweden's Strv 121, which comes in two cards of either four or three, depending on deck settings. Not quite spammable, but offering a longevity most tanks of a similar level can't match.
