The T-55AM2 is a main battle tank used by the Soviet Union in the Wargame series. It was first introduced in Wargame: Airland Battle.
History[]
T-55AM2 - Czechoslovakian tank, the result of the second stage of the T-55A modernization program. Additional armor protection for the turret, hull and bottom was installed on the T-55AM1; rubber-fabric side anti-cumulative screens; laser illumination device 1K13BOM; V-55AM2 engine, 620 hp with., a heat-shielding casing on the barrel of the gun, smoke grenade launchers on the right side of the tower. The fuel system has been improved and the chassis has been strengthened.

The main difference from the T-55AM1 tank is the presence of the Bastion GWS, as well as slightly improved armor. Despite being a cheap tank, it is quite common in multiplayer as a scout or infantry tank. GWS "Bastion" compensates for the poor firing range and average penetration of the gun.
For offensive operations, this tank should be used exclusively in conjunction with the T-72 (B1, B), T-80 (A, B) or T-64 (BM and BV1). The T-55AM2 acts as a diversionary maneuver, which in case of defeat it will not be a pity to lose.
