The ZSL-56 is a Chinese Armored Personnel Carrier that appears in Wargame: Red Dragon.

History[]

Between 1950 and 55, PLA received 25 BTR-152s after took over Lushun from the Soviet Union.

Some non-Chinese sources claimed that China had purchased an unknown number of BTR-152 before the Sino-Soviet Split and were re-engineered into the Type 56, with almost the same looks of the original model.

However, the so-called "ZSL-56" cannot be found in any material, even in Chinese. Since this kind of PLA military abbreviation nomenclature was not issued at the time. Meanwhile, the first generation of wheeled APC manufactured domestically in China is known as the Type 64.

In any case, China has never used the original version of PKT.

Overview[]

The cost-effectiveness of ZSL-56 is very low. As ZSD-63C is a cheaper 5-point vehicle, it has a better 2 Armor and a higher Range/Suppression MMG, also same off-road speed.

Overall, the only advantage of this vehicle is its road speed.
